Rare Cold War Air Reconnaissance Model
An Extremely rare Cold War era Soviet rocket system model used by NATO forces from JARIC (Joint Air Reconnaissance Intelligence Centre) RAF Brampton. These were used by the British Photographic Interpretation Units to identify Russian weaponry from aerial photographs. The model date to the late 1950s.
Model of the Soviet FROG-2 Rocket System. The FROG system - Free Rockets Over Ground - or Soviet GRAU Index 2KI - was a tactical short-range rocket with a distance of up to 18km.
Model of the FROG-2 Rocket & transporter is in metal with measuring 21 x 8cm. Fine detail on all aspects of the tank.
Comes on a display board and housed in its own original wooden carrying case.
